HONG KONG -- Hong Kong shares ended higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 3.27 percent to close at 20,602.52 points.

CANBERRA -- Millions of Australian workers will be granted access to paid domestic violence leave following a landmark decision by the workplace tribunal handed down on Monday.

In a provisional decision, the full bench of the Fair Work Commission (FWC) ruled that workers should be able to access 10 days of family and domestic violence (FDV) leave every year at their base rate of pay. (Australia-Domestic Violence Leave)

NEW DELHI -- Heavy rains triggering floods and landslides over the past few days have affected thousands of people in India's northeastern state of Assam, officials said Tuesday.
