Pakistan reports 66 new COVID-19 cases

ISLAMABAD, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan reported 66 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the tally to 1,529,471, the country's ministry of health said on Wednesday.

A total of 30,378 people died from COVID-19 in the country, with no more death recorded on Tuesday, according to the ministry's data.

On Monday, 16,306 tests for COVID-19 were conducted in Pakistan while the positivity rate stood at 0.40 percent.

Currently, 90 active cases are in critical condition in the South Asian country. Enditem
