ACCRA, May 27 (Xinhua) -- The African Development Bank (AfDB) said on Friday that circular economy will be integrated into the continent's development architecture.

"Circularity is a core area of Africa's fast recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to create new jobs on the continent in a sustainable manner," AfDB Vice President for Power, Energy, Climate Change & Green Growth Kevin Kariuki said during the AfDB 2022 annual meetings.

Transitioning Africa to green growth is a step in the right direction for creating a new value chain that reinvests in the economy and creates new and sustainable jobs, the official added.

The AfDB opened its 2022 annual meetings in the Ghanaian capital, Accra on Tuesday with top African statesmen, politicians, and technocrats in attendance. Enditem
