ISLAMABAD, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's task force on solar energy has decided to make all state-owned buildings in the capital to switch to solar energy, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

The task force reviewed various measures to increase solar energy production in the country in a meeting, according to a statement from the ministry on Saturday.

The government is also taking practical steps to facilitate the process of public access to green power, said the statement.

The task force has decided to install solar plants in the areas where electricity is being given at subsidized rates, Aurangzeb said.

Concessional loans will be given to small consumers for switching to solar energy, the minister said. Enditem
