LAGOS -- At least three civilians were killed and one other abducted when unknown gunmen raided a village in Nigeria's northeast state of Adamawa on Wednesday, an official said Thursday.

In a statement released in Yola, the state capital, Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa, said the gunmen shot dead in the attack a cleric and two of his sons while took away his 13-year-old daughter from their home at the village of Njairi in the Mubi area of the state on Wednesday.
