ANKARA -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation on Monday on the diplomatic normalization process to end decades-long hostilities between the two neighbors.
The two leaders expected the steps agreed upon in the Vienna meetings earlier this month will be implemented soon, Erdogan's office said in a statement. (Turkey-Armenia-Ties)

TEHRAN -- The spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said Monday that Iran's production of 20 percent uranium from IR-6 centrifuges is not a new thing, stressing that Tehran had earlier informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of it.

RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia announced on Monday the current Hajj season is successful and safe.
Saudi Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, also chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, announced the success of the pilgrimage of 2022 at all security, service and health levels, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
This year is also the first time since the coronavirus outbreak in 2020 that Saudi Arabia allows foreign pilgrims to perform Hajj, as the last two seasons were limited only to domestic pilgrims. (Saudi Arabia-Hajj Season)

JERUSALEM -- The number of monkeypox cases in Israel rose to 66 with 11 new cases reported, the state's Health Ministry said on Monday.
