NEW DELHI -- Candidate of India's ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Droupadi Murmu on Thursday won the presidential election in the South Asian country after crossing the 50 percent mark of the total votes at the third round of counting.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 68,632 new COVID-19 cases as of midnight Thursday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 19,077,659, the health authorities said Friday.
