TEHRAN -- Flash floods caused by heavy rains that have lasted over a week have killed at least 69 and wounded 39 across Iran, while 45 others remain missing, a disaster management official said Sunday.

Six of the deceased, three of the wounded and three of the missing are Iraqi nationals, Nejad Jahani, deputy head of the National Disaster Management Organization (NDMO), told semi-official Tasnim News Agency. (Iran-Floods-Casualties)

BEIRUT -- The northern part of the Beirut port grain silos collapsed on Sunday after being on fire for weeks, causing a huge cloud of dust, the National News Agency reported.

TEHRAN -- An Iranian lawmaker said on Sunday that a new round of talks on the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal will probably be held soon, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reported.

Given the European sides' efforts to resume the talks, Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, has hinted that the new round of the negotiations will probably be held in the coming days, Yaqoub Reza-Zadeh, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, told ISNA. TUNIS -- A total of 7,170 Tunisian migrants managed to reach the Italian coasts illegally in the first seven months of 2022, private radio station Mosaique FM reported Sunday.
