BANGKOK -- A fire at a nightclub in Thailand's Chonburi province in the early hours of Friday has killed at least 14 people and injured more, rescue team said.

The fire, which broke out at about 1 a.m. (1800 GMT Thursday) at the nightclub in Chonburi, about 80 km from the capital Bangkok, has been put out and all the injured people have been hospitalized, said Wisarut Petcharat, a rescue worker at the scene with the Sawang Rojana Thammasathan Foundation. LOS ANGELES -- At least five people were killed and nine others injured Thursday afternoon in a fiery multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles, authorities said.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said in a tweet that the agency responded to the crash at about 1:41 p.m. local time (2041 GMT) at La Brea and Slauson avenues. (U.S.-Crash)

SEOUL -- Five people were killed and 44 others injured in a South Korean fire accident that occurred at a hospital building in Icheon, some 50 km southeast of the capital Seoul, Yonhap news agency reported Friday.
