RAMALLAH -- Four Palestinians were killed on Tuesday during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said.

TEHRAN -- Iran's Khayyam satellite was successfully launched into space from the Baikonur space station in Kazakhstan by Russia's Soyuz satellite carrier rocket on Tuesday, the official news agency IRNA reported.

TEHRAN -- Iranian negotiators in the nuclear talks have been ignoring "threats and empty deadlines" by the West in order to protect Iranian people's rights and the long-term interests of the country, an advisor to the Iranian team said Tuesday.

CAIRO -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed on Tuesday the latest regional developments, highlighting concerted Arab efforts to address regional challenges, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.
In their phone conversation, the Qatari emir expressed appreciation for Egypt's latest success in mediating a cease-fire between Palestinians and Israelis in the Gaza Strip, calling it part of the country's efforts to strengthen regional peace and security, according to the statement.
