ISLAMABAD, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan and Turkey on Friday signed the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) for promoting trade liberalization and enhancing bilateral trade.
With prospects of opening up new opportunities to boost mutually beneficial bilateral trade across various sectors, the PTA includes comprehensive provisions on bilateral safeguards, balance of payment exceptions, dispute settlement and periodic review of the agreement.
Pakistani Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar and Turkish Minister of Trade Mehmet Mus signed the agreement in the presence of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, according to the Prime Minister's Office.
Pakistan would continue to work with Turkey on strengthening bilateral ties, Sharif said at the scene. Enditem
