KHARTOUM -- A total of 66 people were killed during torrential rains that hit wide areas of Sudan in the past week, a Sudanese official said on Tuesday.

ABUJA -- Nine people were killed and 13 others seriously injured following a head-on collision involving a bus and a truck in Nigeria's northeastern state of Bauchi, the traffic police said on Tuesday.
