THE HAGUE -- At least three people were killed on Saturday after a truck drove off a dike and plowed into a barbecue party in the southern Dutch town of Nieuw Beijerland, according to local media reports.

Several victims who were injured have been sent to the hospital and there are a lot of emergency worker present at the scene of the accident which happened at the bottom of a small dike. (Netherlands-Accident)

TRIPOLI -- Twelves people were killed and 87 others injured in the ongoing clashes in the Libyan capital Tripoli, the country's Health Ministry said on Saturday.

It added that a number of hospitals and medical centers in the city have been damaged by the clashes, confirming that medical teams couldn't access certain areas in Tripoli to help civilians who made distress calls due to the clashes. (Libya-Deadly Clashes-Tripoli)

ADDIS ABABA -- The Ethiopian National Defense Forces have been forced to leave Kobo city to avoid mass casualties, the Ethiopia Government Communications Service (EGCS) disclosed on Saturday evening.

JAKARTA -- A cargo ship with 15 people on board sank in the Makassar Strait of central Indonesia, leaving 11 people missing, an official said on Saturday.

The ship was hit by huge waves while sailing in the waters between Kalimantan island and Sulawesi island on Monday but the accident was found out by a passenger ship which helped the victims on Friday, said Dendy Prasetyo, senior press official at South Kalimantan's search and rescue office. ISLAMABAD -- At least 45 people were killed and 113 others injured in heavy monsoon rain-triggered flash floods and other rain-related incidents in the last 24 hours in Pakistan, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has said.

According to a report released by the NDMA Friday evening, the country's southern Sindh province was the worst-hit region with 33 killed and 98 others injured, followed by the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province with 10 killed and 13 injured, while the eastern Punjab province reported two deaths.
