BISHKEK, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan detained seven members of the Hizb ut-Tahrir extremist organization in a southern part of the country, State Committee for National Security said on Thursday.
Special services found that the detainees were disseminating extremist materials.
Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami is recognized as an extremist organization and its activities are prohibited in Kyrgyzstan, according to a decision of the country's Supreme Court. Enditem
