KIEV, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's agricultural exports under a key grain deal have surpassed 3 million tons, the country's Infrastructure Ministry said Thursday.

Since the deal came into effect on Aug. 1, 145 vessels loaded with 3.33 million tons of foodstuffs have left Ukrainian Black Sea ports for countries in Asia, Europe and Africa, the ministry said on Facebook.

On Thursday alone, nine ships loaded with grain departed from the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, while two more vessels are set to leave the port of Pivdenny later in the day.

On July 22, Ukraine and Russia separately signed a deal with Türkiye and the United Nations in Istanbul to resume food and fertilizer shipments from Ukrainian ports to international markets via the Black Sea.

On Aug. 1, the first cargo vessel carrying grain after the breakout of the Russia-Ukraine conflict left Odesa for the port of Tripoli in Lebanon. Enditem
