JERUSALEM -- Israel's cabinet approved Sunday the establishment of an annual gathering of senior officials from the United States and five Middle Eastern countries, namely Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Egypt.

The decision "institutionalizes" the work of the Negev Forum, a six-party meeting held in Sde Boker in southern Israel's Negev Desert in March 2022, said a statement issued by Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid's office. (Israel-Negev Forum-Annual Gathering)

TEHRAN -- Iran renews readiness for prisoners' exchange with the United States, said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani.

GAZA -- A rare Byzantine-era mosaic floor, dating back to the 5th to the 7th century, was discovered by a Palestinian farmer in the Gaza Strip, local media reported Sunday.

JERUSALEM -- A Canaanite burial cave dated to about 3,300 years ago was discovered at a Mediterranean beach in central Israel, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) said on Sunday.

The squared-carved cave, supported by a pillar in its ceiling center, was located at the ancient port city of Yavne-Yam and unearthed during works at Palmachim Beach National Park south of Tel Aviv, the IAA noted. (Israel-Burial Cave-Discovery) Enditem
