WASHINGTON -- Two staff members died after being injured in a fire at a British Petroleum (BP) refinery in the U.S. state of Ohio, the company said on Wednesday.

All other staff of the Husky Toledo Refinery in the city of Oregon, just outside Toledo, is accounted for, BP said in a statement. (US-Ohio-Oil Refinery-Fire)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Tuesday, making the first face-to-face talks between leaders of the two countries since 2008, Lapid's office announced.

ANKARA -- A firefighter helicopter crashed Wednesday in southwestern Türkiye on a mission, killing two Russians on board and injuring five other crew members, the Turkish Interior Ministry said.

KHARTOUM -- The death toll from the heavy rains and floods in Sudan has climbed to 146, the country's National Council for Civil Defense said Wednesday.
