Pakistan's Sindh records 4 deaths from flood-related diseases in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The number of people affected by flood-related diseases continued to surge in Pakistan's southern Sindh province and four people died in the last 24 hours, the provincial health department said Thursday afternoon.

According to a report released by the health department, two deaths were caused by gastroenteritis and the remaining two were due to cardiopulmonary arrest.

The death toll in Sindh from the recent wave of infectious diseases due to floods from July 1 to Sept. 21 has increased to 328.

About 603 medical camps were set up in Sindh in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of camps set up in the province since July 1 to 14,016. Enditem
