JERUSALEM, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Former NBA player Erick Green, who recently played in China, has joined Israeli champions Hapoel Holon, the club said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old American combo guard played college basketball at Virginia Tech and was selected in the 2013 NBA draft with the 46th overall pick by the Utah Jazz.

His NBA career, which lasted until 2016, included a total of 52 games with the Denver Nuggets and Utah, averaging 3.1 points and 0.8 assists in 8.7 minutes per game.

Green's European career between 2013 and 2022 included Montepaschi Siena, Olympiacos, Valencia, Fenerbahce, Real Betis, Bahcesehir and Treviso.

In between, he played in the CBA club Fujian Sturgeons in 2019. In this January, he returned to China, where he played 14 games for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, averaging 19 points and 3.9 assists in 24.3 minutes per game.

Green was signed by Holon for three months, replacing the team's star C.J. Harris who was injured during the pre-season Israeli League Cup tournament.

"Erick is an excellent scorer with a lot of experience. We hope he will integrate quickly so he can help us achieve our goals," said Holon head coach Guy Goodes. Enditem
