BRATISLAVA, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia's football premiership Fortuna Liga returned over the weekend with an interesting match-up pitting the league leader and the only undefeated team against each other.
SK Slovan Bratislava came out on top to retain a four-point lead, beating newcomer FK Podbrezova 3-1.
Podbrezova had been waiting until the 12th round to meet a team capable of defeating the club from the small town.
Podbrezova managed to answer Vladimir Weiss' opening goal but the league leaders produced a terrific finish, scoring twice within the final five minutes.
Elsewhere, FC Spartak Trnava moved back into second position after a clear 3-0 victory over lowly FC ViOn Zlate Moravce.
Fifth-ranked FC DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda played against bottom-ranked MFK Tatran Liptovsky Mikulas, winning thanks to an own goal. Enditem
