TOKYO -- Japan's space agency sent a self-destruct signal to an Epsilon rocket after its failed launch on Wednesday, Kyodo News reported.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) sent out a self-destruct order to the Epsilon-6 solid-fuel rocket carrying eight satellites soon after it was launched early Wednesday from Uchinoura Space Center in the southwestern prefecture of Kagoshima, the media reported.

NEW DELHI -- The pharmaceutical company which allegedly made defective cough syrups leading to the death of more than 60 children in the Gambia has been asked to stop manufacturing all drugs with immediate effect, said Health Minister of India's northern state of Haryana Anil Vij on Wednesday.

The minister said that as many as 12 flaws were found during a joint inspection conducted by federal and state drug departments at Maiden Pharmaceutical Limited located in Sonipat district of Haryana state.

CANBERRA -- Australia's top Antarctic scientists have reported a rapid decline in the population of Adelie penguins.
