JERUSALEM, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Israeli defense tech company Elbit Systems said Wednesday that it is set to supply the U.S. army with night vision goggles in an order worth 107 million U.S. dollars as part of a deal reached in Oct. 2020.
In a statement, the company said that the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars can be connected wirelessly to the rifle-mounted thermal weapon site with an augmented reality overlay.
This enabled rapid target acquisition and improved situational awareness in various battlefield conditions, according to Elbit.
As part of the deal, Elbit will also provide the home-based U.S. army with spare parts, logistics support and test equipment, it noted. Enditem
