BANGKOK, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's business sector is upbeat about the country's economic recovery, expecting new opportunities from technological progress and regional trade cooperation, a survey showed Wednesday.

The survey of 451 Thai entrepreneurs revealed the business sector's confidence for the next five to 10 years as they believed businesses have been on the way to recovery and expected great opportunities for growth and expansion despite challenges.

The survey, conducted by the University of Thai Chamber of Commerce for the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) 2022, found that the business sector believed factors to help the recovery include the use of technologies and digitalization.

Thai businesses also saw great opportunities from the implementation of free trade agreements and technological progress, according to the survey, or the "Business of the People Poll."

At a press conference releasing the survey result, Kriengkrai Thiennukul, chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries and ABAC 2022 chair, called for efforts to foster innovation to create more value for the business sector. Enditem
