TEHRAN -- An Iranian military chief said Tuesday that a number of people have been arrested for contact with U.S. intelligence services during the recent riots in the country.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander-in-Chief Ali Fadavi revealed the arrest during a gathering of commanders of the IRGC medical unit in Tehran, semi-official Mehr news agency reported. (Iran-IRGC-Spies)

RAMALLAH -- A Palestinian was killed by Israeli soldiers on Tuesday during clashes in the West Bank, the fourth one in a day, the Palestinian health ministry and eyewitnesses said.

The ministry said in a statement that the young Palestinian man was killed after he was shot in the chest by Israeli soldiers in the village of Al-Mughayyar east of Ramallah. (Palestine-Israel-Killing)

SANAA -- Landmine explosions killed two children and a man in Yemen on Tuesday, Yemen's state TV reported.

The two children were killed in a landmine blast while herding sheep in the Rahabah district in the southern central province of Marib, local authorities was cited by Yemen TV as saying, adding a third child was wounded in the blast. (Yemen-Landmines-Casualties)

BEIRUT -- China and Lebanon on Tuesday signed an agreement to exempt travellers holding diplomatic, special, service passports and passports for public affairs from visa requirements, said the Chinese embassy in Lebanon.

The agreement was signed between Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib and Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Qian Minjian, the embassy said in a statement. (Lebanon-China-Visa Free Agreement) Enditem
