Germany's Friedrich wins 70th career victory in Park City

WASHINGTON, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The IBSF World Cup ended in Park City on Saturday with bobsleigh pilot Francesco Friedrich celebrating his 70th World Cup victory after winning the 4-man bobsleigh race with Thorsten Margis, Candy Bauer and Alexander Schueller as his push crew.

Germans swept the four-man race, with the crew of pilot Johannes Lochner driving to second with 0.23 seconds behind Friedrich and Christoph Hafer's team taking third with 0.01 seconds behind Lochner.

Friedrich is for now leading the overall 4-man bobsleigh standings for the World Cup season. The reigning Olympic and World Cup champion has won four golds this season.

Powerhouse Germany took four of the six golds in Park City, with Grotheer Christopher topping the men's skeleton with a total time of 1:36.26, and Kalicki Kim, along with Fiebig Leonie, dominating the 2-women bobsleigh with 1:37.37.

The women's monobob first place went to Humphries Kaillie of the United States, who finished the race in 1:42.93, and Canada's Rahneva Mirela grabbed the women's skeleton gold with a total time of 1:38.42. Enditem
