PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen told the leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union (EU) that the two blocs shall work closely to ensure rules-based international order for mutual benefits, according to a statement on Thursday.

Hun Sen, chair of the ASEAN for 2022, made the remarks at the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit in Brussels on Wednesday, saying that the summit was held at a time when multilateralism was under severe pressure. (Cambodia-ASEAN-EU)

HONG KONG -- A total of 36 candidates were elected on Thursday as deputies of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature.
