PHNOM PENH, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia exported 322,586 tons of dry rubber in the first 11 months of 2022, up 2.9 percent from 313,447 tons in the same period last year, said a General Directorate of Rubber report on Monday.

The Southeast Asian country earned nearly 466 million U.S. dollars in revenue from exports of the commodity during the January-November period this year, down 10.5 percent from 521 million dollars a year earlier, the report said.

"A ton of dry rubber averagely cost 1,444 U.S. dollars during the first 11 months of 2022, about 219 dollars lower than that of the same period last year," Him Oun, director general of the General Directorate of Rubber, said in the report.

The country exports the commodity mainly to Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.

Cambodia has planted rubber trees so far on lands totaling 404,578 hectares, in which the trees on 315,332 hectares of lands, or 77.9 percent, are old enough to be tapped, according to the report. Enditem
