Vietnam's state budget collection up 13.8 pct last year

HANOI, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam posted a budget collection of 1,784.8 trillion Vietnamese dong (75.6 billion U.S. dollars) in 2022, up 13.8 percent year-on-year, the country's General Statistics Office said on Monday.

Domestic revenue over the months rose 9 percent from the same period of last year to 1,421.8 trillion Vietnamese dong (60.2 billion dollars), while the revenue from import-export activities increased by 29.7 percent to 280 trillion Vietnamese dong (11.9 billion dollars).

Vietnam's budget spending stood at 1,562.3 trillion Vietnamese dong (66.2 billion dollars) last year, up 8.1 percent year-on-year. Regular spending stood at 1,026.2 trillion Vietnamese dong (43.5 billion dollars), up 5.6 percent year-on-year, accounting for the largest proportion of the country's total expenditure.
