PANAMA CITY -- At least 33 people died early Wednesday in a Panama bus accident, official sources said.

The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. (1000 GMT) in the morning when the bus carrying 66 passengers on board and bound for North America collided with a minibus and fell off a cliff, local media reported. (Panama-Accident, 1ST LD)

LONDON -- Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced resignation during a press conference in Edinburgh on Wednesday.

FRANKFURT -- An IT breakdown at Lufthansa on Wednesday caused flight delays and cancellations at major German airports, upending the travel plans of thousands of passengers.

GENEVA -- At least 73 migrants were missing and presumed dead following a tragic shipwreck off the Libyan coast on Tuesday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said Wednesday.
