RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Argentine right-back Renzo Saravia and Uruguayan central defender Mauricio Lemos have joined Atletico Mineiro for the 2023 season, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Thursday.
Saravia agreed to a five-month deal while Lemos will be tied to the Belo Horizonte outfit until December, Mineiro said on social media.
Twenty-nine-year-old Saravia, who has been capped nine times for Argentina, was a free agent after parting ways with Botafogo in January. Lemos, 27, was also secured on a free transfer from Fenerbahce.
Mineiro had already been one of the most active clubs in Brazil's summer transfer market, having signed Paulinho Sampaio, Paulo Henrique, Bruno Fuchs, Edenilson, Igor Gomes, Patrick and Mauricio Lemos this year.
Brazil's Serie A season is due to begin in April and will run until December. Enditem
