Djukanovic, Milatovic enter 2nd round of Montenegro's presidential race

BELGRADE, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Incumbent President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic and former minister Jakov Milatovic have entered the second round of the presidential race, according to preliminary election results revealed by the State Electoral Commission (DIK) in Podgorica on Monday.

According to a vote on March 19, leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Djukanovic won 35.37 percent, while the former minister of economic development Milatovic won 28.92 percent, DIK reported.

Djukanovic won a total of 112,673 votes, while Milatovic, candidate for the movement "Europe Now", won 97,858 votes.

The third and fourth-ranked candidates, Andrija Mandic (65,385 votes) and Aleksa Becic (37,562 votes) announced on Sunday evening that they will unconditionally support Milatovic in the second round of the elections to be held on April 2. Enditem
