GABORONE, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Botswana's Ministry of Health and Wellness on Tuesday reported 13 cases of measles and one case of rubella in different parts of the country.

As a response measure, the ministry and its partners have activated response teams to investigate, manage and trace confirmed cases, Christopher Nyanga, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Wellness, said in a statement.

Greater Gaborone, Kweneng, Greater Francistown, Tutume, Serowe/Palapye, and Selebi Phikwe were all affected, according to the statement.

The ministry advised the public not to panic but to remain vigilant, because all processes were in place to detect and control the disease spread. Enditem
