Cambodia, Egypt sign 3 MoUs in culture, antiquities, diplomacy

PHNOM PENH, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and Egypt have signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to advance bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, antiquities, and diplomacy, said a Cambodian Foreign Ministry's press on Friday.

The MoUs were inked on Thursday during Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn's official visit to Egypt, the statement said.

The deals included an MoU on cultural cooperation, an MoU on cooperation in the fields of archaeology, museums and heritages, and an MoU on cooperation between the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations of Cambodia and the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of Egypt, it said.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Sokhonn held a bilateral meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo, discussing opportunities to further strengthen and broaden cooperation in various fields, the statement said.

The two ministers also agreed to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation, tourism, education, and agriculture, it added. Enditem
