MAIDAN SHAR, Afghanistan -- Two children were killed as a mortar mine left over from past wars went off in Afghanistan's eastern Wardak province on Saturday, provincial police spokesman Yusuf Israr said Sunday.

JAKARTA -- Nine people were wounded as an oil refinery owned by Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina exploded in Riau province on Saturday night, Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal, the provincial police chief, said on Sunday morning.
