LIMA -- At least 10 people were killed and another 25 injured in the predawn hours of Monday after a passenger bus skidded off the road and plunged into a river in Peru's department of Lima.

The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at kilometer 109 of the Central Highway, the head of the Highway Protection Division of the Peruvian National Police, Col. Victor Meza, said, according to state news agency Andina. (Peru-Accident-Casualty)

CHICAGO -- Four people were killed and nine others injured in a shooting that happened in downtown Louisville in the U.S. state of Kentucky Monday morning.

DAR ES SALAAM -- At least 13 traders were killed on Sunday night and another two injured after a truck ferrying them from an auction plunged into a river in Ruvuma region in southern Tanzania, police said on Monday.

Marco Chilya, the Ruvuma regional police commander, said the incident occurred on Sunday at 9 p.m. local time when the truck ferrying the traders overturned before it plunged into Njoka River as it attempted to climb a steep hill. (Tanzania-Truck-Accident) Enditem
