BOGOTA -- At least seven miners were missing after an explosion in a coal mine in the Colombian municipality of Cucunuba in the department of Cundinamarca, governor Nicolas Garcia confirmed Thursday.

"We have a report from the rescue team stating that they pulled out alive four trapped miners, who are being taken to the hospital, while we continue the search and rescue for seven other miners," Garcia said in a video posted on Twitter. (Colombia-Mine explosion)

LUSAKA -- The death toll in Zambia's boat accident has climbed to 15 following the retrieval of seven more bodies, the police said on Thursday.

Zambia Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale said two bodies were retrieved around 6:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, while five were retrieved in the early hours of Thursday, bringing the total number of retrieved bodies to 15. (Zambia-Boat accident)

ANKARA -- Türkiye's tourism industry is recovering from a major setback caused by devastating earthquakes that hit the southern part of the country in February, business insiders said.
