SEOUL, May 12 (Xinhua) -- One teacher and 13 students were injured on Friday as the ceiling structure of a South Korean elementary school gymnasium collapsed, Yonhap news agency reported.

A part of the ceiling inside the elementary school gymnasium in Yeosu, around 320 km south of Seoul, went down to the floor at about 12:21 p.m. local time (0321 GMT).

A total of 14 people, including one teacher, were slightly wounded and taken to a nearby hospital.

The accident was believed to have occurred when finishing materials inside the ceiling collapsed at once.
