ISLAMABAD, May 17 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were killed and 18 others injured in a road accident after two passenger buses collided in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, officials said on Wednesday.
The accident happened late Tuesday on the Reko Diq Road in the Nok Kundi area of Balochistan, Assistant Commissioner Taftan Sagar Kumar told local media.
He said that both the vehicles caught fire after hitting each other, adding that rescue teams rushed the site and immediately extinguished the fire.
All the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, whereas at least 14 among the injured are in critical condition, according to hospital sources, and they are being transferred to Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.
Police said that a full-fledged investigation has been launched into the accident. Enditem
