Mongolian parliament passes constitutional amendments

ULAN BATOR, May 31 (Xinhua) -- The State Great Khural, Mongolia's unicameral parliament, passed amendments to the country's constitution on Wednesday.

According to the amendments, the number of members of the country's parliament will increase from 76 to 126.

In addition, parliament members will be elected based on a mixed electoral system, in which 78 members will be elected by majority representation and 48 by proportional representation. Enditem
