Russian, South African presidents discuss cooperation over phone

MOSCOW, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa held a phone conversation on Wednesday to discuss the further development of bilateral strategic partnership.

The leaders also touched upon the preparations for the second Russia-Africa summit scheduled for late July in St. Petersburg and the BRICS summit in Johannesburg in August, the Kremlin said in a press release.

Both sides agreed to continue close coordination on international platforms, the Kremlin added. Enditem
