MADRID, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Jorge Vilda, the coach of the Spanish women's football team, on Monday named a 30-player squad to prepare for July's Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The good news for Spain is that Alexia Putellas, considered to be the best women player in the world, is in the squad after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Meanwhile, three from a group of 15, who had said they didn't want to play with Vilda as coach, have also returned.

Aitana Bonmati, Ona Batile and Mariona Caldentey will give more depth and experience to a squad, that will be cut down to a definitive 23 players on June 30th, after Spain play a preparation game against Paraguay.

Speaking to the press after the squad was published, Vilda said he was "more concerned about footballing issues. The players who will be with us known how we will talk, how we will train and prepare for our games."

"What we want is to get the best from the players, and you get that with a united group, I am convinced there will be calm, agreement and tranquility, because going to a World Cup is reason enough to be united," added the coach, who was delighted to have Putellas back in his squad after her cruciate knee ligament injury.

"The best thing that can happen to her is to go to the World Cup to continue with her recovery. We will take a lot of care to make she is in the best possible condition," said Vilda.
