KIEV -- International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Rafael Grossi arrived at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant on Thursday, Ukraine's state-run nuclear energy operator Energoatom said in a Telegram post.

MINSK -- A Ukrainian drone with explosives was shot down at the end of May in the Gomel region of Belarus, said the State Border Committee of Belarus on Thursday.

MOSCOW -- Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Wednesday warned about the potential ecological and agricultural aftermath of a U.S. plan to supply depleted uranium shells to Ukraine.

UNITED NATIONS -- The UN Security Council on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution calling on the international community to condemn hate speech, racism and acts of extremism.

The Security Council says that hate speech, racism, xenophobia, intolerance, gender discrimination and extremism can lead to conflict. Resolution 2686 was adopted to address the issue, calling on member states to publicly denounce such acts. (UN-Security Council) Enditem
