MOSCOW -- At least four people were killed and two others injured in an explosion and a subsequent fire at a gunpowder factory in southwestern Russia's Tambov region on Tuesday.

The blast occurred in the building of a gunpowder factory in the city of Kotovsk. The fire from the explosion has been extinguished, TASS news agency reported. (Russia-Factory blast)

RAMALLAH -- Six Palestinians were killed and dozens injured on Monday in a new wave of tension in the West Bank, medics and security sources said.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Zakareya Al-Za'oul, 20, died after being shot in the head by Israeli soldiers in the village of Husan in west of the West Bank city of Bethlehem. (Palestine-Israel-Ties)

TEHRAN -- A total of 15 people have died of "counterfeit" alcohol poisoning in the northern Iranian province of Alborz over the past six days, the official news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday.

Some 182 people suffering from poisoning symptoms have been referred to the province's hospitals in this period, of whom 40 are still hospitalized, with five in intensive care units, IRNA quoted Shahram Sayyadi, president of Alborz University of Medical Sciences, as saying. ISTANBUL -- Turkish police have cracked down on scores of individuals allegedly involved in cryptocurrency trading, the country's new Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Twitter Tuesday.

According to Yerlikaya, more than 4,000 bank accounts were examined and a total of 1.2 billion Turkish liras (51 million U.S. dollars) were found transferred between these accounts. (Türkiye-Cryptocurrency Trading-Arrest) Enditem
