PHNOM PENH -- The death toll had risen to eight in an under-renovation entertainment club blaze in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, a municipal police spokesman said on Sunday.
"Two more bodies were found in the scorched nightclub building Sunday morning, bringing the total number of the dead to eight (six men and two women)," Phnom Penh Municipal Police spokesman San Sok Seiha told Xinhua, adding that the victims were renovation workers. (Cambodia-Nightclub-Fire)

NEW DELHI -- A dozen people died and lives of many have been adversely affected due to rains and floods-related incidents in India's western state of Gujarat over the past days, local media reported on Sunday.

ZAGREB -- A 45-year-old woman was killed and four people were seriously injured in a shooting incident in Sisak, a city in central Croatia, on Saturday night, local police announced on Sunday.
The attacker, a 60-year-old man, was arrested early Sunday morning, police said, adding that the injured have been rushed to a hospital nearby for treatment. (Croatia-Shooting)

DAMASCUS/JERUSALEM -- Israel launched a missile strike on military sites in Syria's central province of Homs after midnight Sunday, causing material damage, the Syrian army said in a statement.
According to the statement, the missiles triggered the Syrian air defenses, which intercepted some of the missiles.
