ISLAMABAD -- At least 10 family members were killed after a fire broke out in a three-story house in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Wednesday, police officials said.

PRAGUE -- Czech-born writer Milan Kundera died in Paris at the age of 94, the Czech News Agency (CTK) reported on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD -- Four soldiers were killed while five others were critically injured after terrorists launched an attack on a military base in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, a military statement said on Wednesday.

JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Two children have been killed and another injured as a landmine from past wars went off in east Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Wednesday, a statement released by the provincial government said.
