ULAN BATOR, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and one injured due to electrocution after a flash flood hit Mongolia's capital on Saturday evening, emergency authorities have said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of gers (traditional yurts), houses, fences and vehicles have been flooded, the National Emergency Management Agency said in a statement.

The water levels of major rivers in and around the city such as the Selbe River and Tuul River have exceeded warning levels, the agency said, urging the public to take precautions.

The central and eastern parts of the country, including the capital city, are expected to see more rain in the coming days, the country's weather monitoring agency has said. Enditem
