ASUNCION, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Olimpia recovered from two goals down to beat defending champions Flamengo 3-2 on aggregate and advance to the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Brazilian side took a 1-0 lead into the second leg and they doubled their overall advantage when Bruno Henrique scored in the eighth minute at Estadio Defensores del Chaco.

But Ivan Torres reduced the deficit four minutes later before Richard Ortiz and Facundo Bruera struck second-half goals to complete a remarkable turnaround.

The Paraguayan outfit will face Brazil's Fluminense in the next round, with the first leg to be played at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana stadium on August 23.

In Thursday's only other Copa Libertadores fixture, Argentina's Racing Club also advanced to the last eight with a 3-0 home win over Colombian side Atletico Nacional.

Roger Martinez and Axel Ojeda struck either side of halftime before Juan Felipe Aguirre gifted the hosts a third goal by accidentally deflecting the ball into his own net. The result handed the Buenos Aires club a 5-4 victory on aggregate.

Fernando Gago's side will face local rivals and six-time Libertadores champions Boca Juniors in the quarterfinals. Enditem
