BERLIN, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Germany will face Canada in the final after cruising past China 107-58 at the 34th Basketball Supercup in Hamburg on Saturday.

The Germans have won their third consecutive test match ahead of the 2023 World Cup as Franz Wagner provided 20 points helping Germany overwhelm China.

Aleksandar Djordjevic's men couldn't gain a foothold into the clash as Germany started aggressively and established a 25-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.

China lacked in accuracy in front of the target as only 20 of 60 attempts found the goal whereas the hosts clinically extended their lead to 49-23 after the second quarter.

Germany ceased its offensive power, but China couldn't generate 3-pointers as only Cui Yongxi, Fu Hao and Fang Shuo found the target from the distance.

Gordie Herbert's men showed no mercy and finished the third quarter with an 81-41 advantage.

Fu Hao and Li Kaier were China's top scorers with ten points each but still, the visitors couldn't hold the pace in the fourth quarter as Germany increased their advantage to round off the third victory.

China gave away too many points as Germany scored 30 points from turnovers while the visitors marked only 10 points from turnovers.

Germany will face off against Canada in the final on Sunday while China is set to play New Zealand for third place.

"We're intimidated by their force and size. We were kind of waiting for them to attack us," said China's head coach Djordjevic. "I'd like to see our players play with more courage. We need to understand our level through the game and raise our level. We have to know what we have to do to make us better." Enditem
