TOKYO, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks ended a three-day losing streak to close higher on Monday, supported by dip-buying.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, gained 114.88 points, or 0.37 percent, from Friday to end at 31,565.64.
The broader Topix index, meanwhile, finished 4.20 points, or 0.19 percent, higher at 2,241.49.
Stocks recouped some losses after the Nikkei declined by nearly 800 points in the past three days, as risk sentiment improved, with nearly all sectors participating in the advance.
Gainers were led by electric power and gas, mining and real estate shares. Enditem
