HANOI -- Nearly 103,700 enterprises were estimated to be formed in Vietnam in the first eight months of this year, posting an increase of 2.3 percent year on year, according to the country's General Statistics Office.

The registered capital of the new enterprises declined 14.7 percent year on year to 969.6 trillion Vietnamese dong (40.4 billion U.S. dollars), said the office. (Vietnam-Company-Business)

SEOUL -- South Korean women's employment rate hit a record high last year although female low-wage workers remained high, the gender ministry said Wednesday.

The employment rate for women aged 15-64 reached 60 percent in 2022, topping the 60 percent mark for the first time, according to the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. It was up 7.3 percentage points compared to 2020. (South Korea-Female Employment)
